This industry combines two areas of the classification. Section R “Arts, entertainment and recreation” covers creative and performing arts (90), libraries, museums and zoos (91), gambling and betting (92) and sports, amusement and recreation (93) – from the sports club and the gym to the leisure park.
From section S, division 94 is included: membership organisations, including religious ones – business and employers’ organisations, chambers, professional associations, trade unions, parishes, political parties and other associations. Sports clubs are not classified here but under 93.12.

Order specification for Clubs, associations, sport and culture: Narrow the offered activities using these codes: 90, 91, 92, 93.1, 93.2, 94.1, 94.2, 94.9. State the subgroups you actually intend to purchase and confirm quantity and contact fields for that selection. The following attributes are not promised as export fields: number of members and club sections; names of chairpersons and board members; charitable and tax status; sports facilities, hall times and league levels; register number and register court of the association. Do not make them hidden assumptions in the order; record missing information as a separate question to resolve.
Most associations are run by volunteers. The address is often the home of a board member and changes when a new board is elected. Phone numbers and postal addresses of small associations are therefore shorter-lived than those of businesses; federations and large clubs, by contrast, have an office.
A sports club with a gym, a museum with a café, an association with an academy: many institutions have several activities. The assignment follows the main activity; academies of associations may therefore be in the industry Education and training.
The official figure covers section R only; the table gives no figure for the organisations of division 94. Our figure includes associations, federations and parishes insofar as they appear in our sources and is therefore higher.
We offer club software for membership management and fees and are looking for sports clubs (93.12) in Lower Saxony and Bremen with a phone number or website. Please exclude gyms. How many clubs does the selection include?
